MONDAY

Dear Lord, I thank you for having especially called me to remind me to pray every day. Being the busy person that I am, my demanding schedule has often caused me to take You for granted unintentionally. But now I really want to devote to you this time because I love You and I need You in my life.

Thank You for granting me the privilege of spending this time with You. Please quiet my heart, take away whatever burdens I now feel so I can abandon myself completely to you. Cleanse my heart so my prayers may be worthy of You. Teach me how to pray so that my words will come from my heart. Help me too, to learn how to listen so that my mind and heart can hear Your voice and understand Your will. Amen.

TUESDAY

Lord, I thank You for the light of this new day and for the hope that awakes me this morning. Grant that I may start with joy in the light of Your love. For this, my Lord shall be my strength to face whatever lies in store for me today. I offer You all my thoughts, words and deeds for this day. Inspire me and guide me so I may do my best in everything I will do today, Lord. I pray too that all these deeds will give glory and honor to You. Amen.

WEDNESDAY

Lord Jesus, in the midst of all the hurry of another busy day, let me find time to slow down a bit, to pause and feel your loving presence in life’s little blessings. Let me see You in the beauty of a flower, in the in the innocent and trusting smile of a little child, in the gentle touch of a loved one, in words of encouragement or comfort from a friend, inspiring lines from a good book, or even just in the little pleasant surprises that come to me during the day. Help me to remember too that nothing will come to me today that will not first pass through Your gentle hands of love.            Don’t let me get so caught up with myself and my demanding schedule that I lose the strength that I always gain from my quiet moments with You. Help me today to be at peace with myself, with my world and with You. Amen.

THURSDAY

Dear Lord, at the beginning of this day I thank you for my family. Thank You for their love and all the good and nice things we experience together. Thank You for the trials too because it is in these experiences that we grow and become closer to each other. Without my family, life would be lonely, forsaken and with no direction. This day I personally commit myself to love my family always, as You love us all. I also pray to You for the families of my brothers and sisters, the families of my relatives and for all families in this world. To Your love I commend all families who have remained without love and peace because sin has destroyed them. Give them back the strength for love and peace and heal their wounds. Give them back the strength for love and peace and heal their wounds.  Lord, this day, I ask You to make love the center of everything in my family. Let love heal all our wounds from yesterday and let joy make its abode in us. Amen.

FRIDAY

Lord Jesus, I thank You for this beautiful day and for this new light before me. I pray that through this light You may let me see Your own ray of sunshine that will enlighten my mind and strengthen me to pursue You Will this day. Lord, I do not ask You for an easy day, just for Your guidance and strength to be able to pull through despite all odds that I could be up against. Fill my heart with Your beautiful rays of sunshine that I may share this with my friends, brothers and sisters and all the people I shall be coming in contact today. Amen

SATURDAY

O Lord, You said, “Without Me, you can do absolutely nothing.” And You also said, “Ask and you shall receive.” Inspire me with Your grace throughout this day, proportion it to my needs, and give me strength to avoid anything evil and to practice that which is pleasing to You. Grant me to bear patiently all the trials that I will encounter today, knowing that You permit them to happen. Above all, teach me how to love You, and how to live in Your love. Grant me the grace to renew my life and to know and follow Your will. Amen.

SUNDAY

Father, I thank you for the grace to desire to be with You now. With this new day ahead of me, I pray that I may be filled with Your presence, and that my faith, hope, love and joy in You may be renewed. Help me to renew too my longing for others to know You better and be closer to You. With Your steadfast love, You have bee so kind, patient and supportive to me. Let this awareness inspire me to also love my friends, brothers and sisters.Help me to be an encouragement to the discouraged, a help to bear their burdens and limitations and lighten their loads. Keep me from words and actions that may hurt and destroy. Keep me from making hasty conclusions and judgments about others, knowing well that we are all at different stages of growth, with different family backgrounds, values and cultures, and that You are dealing with us in different ways. Grant me the grace to respect each person, including myself, as a temple of Your spirit. For this, Father, I need Your continued guidance and strength. Amen.
