In celebration of the Halloween, the City Government of Marikina held the “TAYO NA SA DILIM: Halloween Parade and Costume Contest 2008” last Friday, October 31, 2008. The parade started from Marikina City Hall up to the Riverbanks Activity Center at around 6:00 p.m.
The activity was participated by private groups and all the departments of the Marikina City Government. There were fantasy, superheroes, gory, bloody, supernatural, sci-fi and scary categories. The prices for the best costume ranged from 2,000 to 10,000 pesos.
This was my first time to participate in a costume parade. I really enjoyed every moment of the event, from preparation till the end. There were many people who took a photo op with us and I feel like a celebrity that night. Hahahaha….

Special thanks to our face painter, Jaja for that awesome make-over with the library department. The make-up was excellent and we were able to scare many children and most really cannot recognize us.
